Chris Denning
Chris has 25 years of tax experience leads the HMT Group Tax team.
Chris is the tax partner leading HMT’s tax group and is responsible for the provision of all tax related services. Chris joined HMT in 2008 having previously spent nearly 20 years split between PwC and latterly KPMG.
Chris views tax as a business/strategic issue and considers it key that ongoing tax advice fits into the overall objectives and goals of business owners and stakeholders.
As well as extensive transactional tax expertise Chris has developed an intuitive understanding of the interaction of taxes in relation to the ongoing provision of tax advice and works very closely with his clients in order that he can proactively identify issues and opportunities for tax planning which can be aligned with commercial goals and activities.
Chris has delivered a comprehensive range of expertise for a range of clients from entrepreneurially owned start ups to large corporate/multinationals, including, for example, group restructuring, inbound/outbound expansion, shareholder planning, employee incentivisation/retention, EIS, transfer pricing, vendor due diligence, profit extraction/repatriation and incorporation planning.
Chris has also developed sector expertise in Real Estate and growth technology.
